Why “Maguro”
Maguro (まぐろ) is Japanese for tuna — and at the sushi counter, one fish stands above the rest: the bluefin, honmaguro. It's the most prized, most sought-after cut in the sea, the piece a master's reputation is built on.
We took the name on purpose. A studio chasing volume ships the same template a hundred times over. We'd rather build a handful of sites and make each one flawless — obsessive about the details, allergic to anything average.
